Job Overview: We are looking for a seasoned System Safety Engineer to support the development of program safety plans for missile defense software. This role involves providing guidance and expertise on safety policies to the engineering team.

Job Details: The System Safety Engineer will focus on developing safety plans for programs, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and providing crucial support to team members and program personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop program safety plans and provide guidance on safety policies
• Support MDA and other program personnel as needed
• Collaborate with team members and National Team management to deliver high-quality products on time
• Conduct System Safety Engineering tasks for Global System Safety Requirements Analysis
• Ensure Safety Critical DTAPS stay on schedule
• Perform safety analysis including PHA, SSHA, and updating existing SARs
• Train less experienced personnel in SE and Safety techniques

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering with 10 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience
• Specialization in System and Software Safety
• Proficiency in systems engineering concepts, principles, and techniques
• Ability to identify and define desired capabilities
• Experience in modeling interrelationships between components
• Capability to generate system/element level specifications
