We are looking for an Application Engineer focused on automation to join our team in a vibrant Ashburn, Virginia. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of controls concepts and enjoy customer interaction in a technical setting.

This permanent role involves reviewing Industrial Networking and Automation system designs, preparing detailed drawings, analyzing product specifications, and collaborating with Engineering to find solutions that meet customer requirements. PLC programming experience, particularly with Allen Bradley or Siemens, is a must.

• Review and specify products for control, energy, and data transmission solutions.
• Prepare detailed drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD/Draftsight.
• Analyze product specifications to determine manufacturability.
• Work with Engineering to find solutions to challenges and problems.
• Locate design files and make appropriate modifications.
• Write Test Requests, analyze results, and take necessary actions.

• Experience level: Experienced.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Education: Associates degree.
• Key skills: CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Support, Automation, PLC.
