The ideal candidate will proficiently weld steel assemblies according to plans, specifications, and quality control checkpoints. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, follow dimensional drawings, and produce high-quality welds are essential.

Job Details:

The Welder role involves welding in all positions, setting weld machines to optimal parameters per work specifications, understanding weld symbols, utilizing jigs and fixtures, performing basic fitting tasks, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities:

• Competent welding in all positions
• Setting weld machines to optimum parameters
• Understanding weld symbols and preparing joints accordingly
• Using jigs and fixtures when necessary
• Performing basic fitting work as directed
• Reading and interpreting shop plans and blueprints
• Maintaining a clean work area and following safety guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational degree
• 3+ years of welding experience or trade school education
• Certification as a welder with current WABO or AWS (FCAW)
• Proficient operation of non-specialized metal working equipment
• Understanding and application of visual inspection criteria
