Job Details

The Set Up Technician is responsible for setting up and operating machines to meet product requirements, troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues, performing quality checks, and documenting issues. They work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure all machines operate smoothly and assist in trial runs and monitoring machine workflow.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines to meet product requirements.
Troubleshoot equipment and packaging issues.
Perform quality checks and document issues and basic repairs.
Conduct trial runs and monitor machine workflow.
Pack finished goods to assist IOs.
Work alongside the Maintenance team to troubleshoot converting machines.
Perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment.
Cover for operators during breaks or cleaning.

Requirements

1-2 years of machine setup or PM tech experience.
Experience with hand tools, mechanical repairs, and product inspection.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
Ability to read a ruler up to 1/32 of an inch.
Good documentation skills for reporting quality issues, downtime, and repairs.
Experience with converting, slitter, or extrusion machines, bag/pouch production, and packaging environments.
