Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Paramount, California to ensure the proper handling of incoming and outgoing items. This role involves inspecting products, managing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Job Details:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for receiving incoming freight, inspecting products for accuracy and damage, and preparing outgoing shipments. This is a contract-to-hire position for 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming products for accuracy and damage.
  • Receive products into the system within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Determine the best method for outgoing shipments and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Follow receiving procedures and ensure correct labeling and stocking of parts.
  • Handle picking, packing, kitting, and shipping tasks.
  • Utilize auto parts knowledge for inventory management and order processing.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
