Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Purchaser to join our team in Vallejo, California. This role offers flexibility with up to 20 hours per week and involves managing purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and services essential for manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers efficiently.

Job Details:

The Purchaser will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, forecasting material requirements, managing requisitions, creating purchase orders, tracking orders, expediting urgent orders, and maintaining optimal stock levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Forecast material requirements and collaborate with production and inventory teams.
  • Manage internal requisitions and issue purchase orders.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Expeditiously follow up with suppliers for urgent orders.
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in purchasing.
  • Experienced level in purchasing roles.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
