Job Overview:
A working maintenance supervisor is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and auditing maintenance repairs for tractors, trucks, and trailers. The role involves understanding customer needs, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring high-quality service in small locations.
Job Details:
This role requires overseeing maintenance activities, managing inventory levels, developing the team, and personally completing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
- Coach, mentor, and develop service department associates
- Monitor work levels of associates
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tasks for 50-75% of the time
- Manage fleet maintenance and repair expenses
- Identify areas for improvement and reinforce policies
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- 5 years of fleet maintenance management experience preferred
- Fully qualified as Tech I or Journeyman Mechanic
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or Technical School degree preferred
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Valid Commercial Driver?s License
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and web-based applications preferred
