Job Overview:

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing safety and operational control systems for press equipment. This role involves upgrading/modifying existing equipment and supporting new installations in stamping shops.

Job Details:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering. The successful candidate must have proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, experience in PLC/HMI programming, and familiarity with various control systems. This is a 1-year contract position with hybrid work requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, layout, program, and troubleshoot HMI, PLC, and Safety PLC systems.
  • Create and install panel, field device, and hardwire layouts.
  • Develop main motor and drive layouts, including installation and wiring.
  • Conduct risk assessments, evaluations, and buy-offs with documentation.
  • Supervise vendor installations and manage line commissioning.
  • Collaborate with Controls, Seibi, and Project Management teams.
  • Lead creation of stamping-specific Controls standards and project KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors degree
  • Skills in Controls, PLC, and HMI
