Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator to join our team. The CNC Set-Up/Operator III will be responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC machines to ensure production runs smoothly.

Job Details:

The CNC Set-Up/Operator III will set up new and repeat jobs, troubleshoot and edit code, maintain quality and safety standards, and communicate effectively with team members and managers.

Responsibilities:

• Use advanced techniques to troubleshoot and resolve machine or programming issues
• Identify opportunities to reduce machining time through process improvements
• Understand, interpret, and edit FANUC programming code
• Advise the maintenance department or supervisor of any machine issues, crashes, or needed repairs
• Set up and load programs into CNC machines and complete first run part
• Load and unload materials and parts manually or using appropriate equipment or tools
• Independently operate CNC equipment and observe operations with focused attention
• Operate grinding and related tools to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a CNC Setup Operator
• Proficiency in interpreting and editing FANUC programming code
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and focus on quality
