We are looking for a skilled GSE Mechanic with experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting to join our team in Olathe, Kansas. As a GSE Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure smooth airport operations.

Job Details

The ideal candidate will be adept at reading schematics, performing electrical testing, and troubleshooting issues related to GSE equipment. Responsibilities include conducting preventative maintenance repairs on baggage carts, deicing equipment, and other GSE machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform light and heavy repairs on GSE equipment
• Diagnose engine mechanical issues and repair (Diesel, gas, and LP)
• Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
• Utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems
• Maintain productivity levels and complete repair orders efficiently

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in automotive, diesel, or electrical work
• Ability to read schematics and conduct electrical testing
• Possession of basic tools and a valid Driver's License
• Good communication skills and capability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Capability to attain Airport issued ID badge

Other Details

The work site for this Contract to Hire position is based out of Olathe, Kansas. You will be part of a team of mechanics in a comfortable hangar with heated conditions in winter and ample cooling in summer.
